Views and Navigation

Legend gives you a few ways to move through your organization. Knowing when to use each one makes finding answers faster.

The map view

The map view shows entities and the relationships between them as a connected picture. Use it when you want to understand how things fit together, trace a dependency, or explore an area you do not know well.

  1. Open the map view from the main navigation.
  2. Find your starting entity by searching or by browsing.
  3. Follow the relationship lines outward to related entities.

List views

The Agents and Landmarks lists are best when you know roughly what you are looking for or want to review a whole category at once.

  • Use the Agents list to review people and teams and check ownership coverage.
  • Use the Landmarks list to scan services, processes, and documents by type.
  • Combine a list with filters to answer questions like "which services have no owner?"

Search as navigation

For most day-to-day questions, search is the fastest way in. Type a name, open the entity, and follow its relationships. Treat search as your front door and the map and lists as the rooms you move through once you are inside.
